Drop the negative habbit

Picking up a new positive habbit may seem a challenge but dropping the negative one is feasible. Start a morning walk from tomorrow may seem a challenge, but no junk for three days a week  is feasible  Reading a book may seem a challenge,  limiting time on social networking is feasible  Planing to pick up a new habit, drop off your bad habit first. Try it!

Uncertainties

He promised all his time will be hers in his 50's Oh! Last celebration they had was his 49th birthday. She loved dancing and planned to  pursue her passion in later years Oh! Disability knocked her door. He commited his parents to visit them once his project gets completed in 2 years. Oh! He was a son to a single parent now.  You have Today in hand, make best out of it.

Multitasking

You are on phone and also working on laptop You are sitting with someone and checking your Watsapp msgs You are on office call and also managing your kid You are helping your kid with homework and also doing household stuff Is this multitasking?  Multitasking is not feasible,  we do single task at a time.We switch from one task to other again and again and when this happens our brain gets confused with sudden switch in activities and  impacts our productivity and focus.  Say: I am writing an important mail, my all concentration is there, the moment my watsapp buzzed or insta notifications beeped,  I will pick my phone and probably start replying. Now my mail writing took a small break, I replied few msgs on watsapp, now I will again go back to mail. I will end up wasting more time and energy, affecting my concentration and productivity. In real scenarios we are not doing multitasking, it is always breaking one and picking other. Think!

Sarr na, Rees kar

My very dear school friend @Gautam, used this statement 'sarr na, rees kar' meaning don't be jealous copy/follow me,  as a Brahmastra in all his fights.Context or No context  he would use this as an ending statement. I used to really get furious and irritated. But this statement somehow got registered somewhere in my mind. I found myself silently using  this in my mind in different situations.  15 years ago it was a fun statement but it got  some real meanings. Instead of getting jealous, get inspired by others. Just by switching a feeling  of jealous to an inspiration, we can learn , grow, add value  and be an improved version of self.   Let's inspire and influence  each other for good.

Langar Prasad in my kitchen

Whenever I cook food , I play Shabad and Bhajans (devotional songs) in my kitchen. This creates a positive aura in my kitchen and my food turns into Langar Prasad. I start believing that I am preparing Prasad for my family  and this holy food is a blessing for our mind and body If I am not listening to Bhajans or Shabads,my mind starts running in thousand directions, thinking of what all I have done in a day,  what I need to do. What was wrong,  what was right and much much more. Playing bhajans  makes my kitchen holy and only happy positive thoughts are at work.   Try this and you will see a shift in your mind and blessed vibrations around.

Be friends with yoga

I don't feel like picking even 2 Kgs of dumbbells or doing  any HIIT training or any kind of cardio from past few months. But not doing anything was giving me guilt. So I became friends with yoga. I accidentaly landed up on a 30 days yoga journey by 'yoga with Adriene'. It was sweet, 20-30 min brief session,  smooth flow, light and impactful. I was happy for doing something atleast. I really liked her sessions, it's like she is personally coaching you. They are very meaningful and healthy for body and mind.  Glad that I am still continuing with the same as I am still lazy to do anything else.                So if you are feeling lazy and want to start with something,go for yoga with Adriene in YouTube. You will surely enjoy, start with 30days journeys, or any other small capsules on her page. If you try do let me know how was your experience.

Funny Anecdote

My husband and I was planning a vacation to Bangkok Pattaya. He called me in noon while I was at work,  to say he was trying to book tickets, but transaction is somehow not getting successful. I asked him to wait as my intuition was signalling something really strong. The same evening on my way back from work, I picked pregnancy kit. Guess what!We were in club of 10% failure rate of contraceptives.  I did not know how to react, I was wondering ,in movies the woman is found doing  happy dance with happy tears,  the guy comes running back home in which ever end of the world he is.  And here, I was clueless and I think so was the guy who got the news in mid of his technical meeting.  Your sister is your best friend in such situations, I called my sis@anshuta , all sobbing and crying,  there when she gave me a punch line. She said hey you are married, why are you crying,  this is a happy and good news. Oh yes! Happy realization..Ha Ha. I was happy and...

You are beautiful

Oh you have grey hair!  You could not see improved healthy black/brown hair but notice few grey hair  Oh your face looks dull!  You could not see the chiseled face after shedding excessive weight. Oh you look so lean! But I don't remember you ever complimented when I was carrying excessive  weight. How many of us can relate to this.  People will find one or the other reason to pull you down. You know you are beautiful in your own way. That's important. Period.

Don't confuse your present

Are you one of those who confuse your Present ?  I am one of them. When you start looking for the answers that lies in the future you confuse your present. Let's take an example- you are searching a suitable match for your kids, someone tells you there is no good scope until 2 years. You are preparing yourself for new job or shifting to new country, someone tells you no  fortune till another one year Now what all the positive energies and efforts you were putting will take a halt,  because now you are confused, Do I need to do all this now, there is no fortune for year or two  You confused your present for something which might or might not happen in future.  Yes to some extent, we might believe in knowing future but should not turn blind and trust anything or everything said.

Money can't buy happiness

Badhe gharo ki chuppi ko jhooti  Shanti ka naam dete ho Asli hasi ke thahake to barah by barah ki kothri mai hi lag jate hai  Be content in what you have!

Context

We often assume,  presume and judge others on what we see or hear. How many times do we take efforts to know the context of the situation. Once, my husband and I were discussing some travel plans and I expressed my wish for driving,  my toddler  interrupted and said Papa will drive and not you.  I was taken aback while my husband was giving sarcastic laghs(Ha Ha Ha)  and I almost started my lecture on patriarchal thinking and what is he learning and picking up.  Then I took a pause and asked my toddler why he said so : he very sweetly in his natural ways said because he want to sit with mama and if  I drive he will have to sit with Papa.  Before knowing the context,  we assumed and judged the situation and each other. But his one innocent statement changed all.  Henceforth,  if you get offended by what someone is saying or behaving,  ensure to know the context.  Things will be sorted and peaceful.

😈

Today, devils and demons would be ashamed too.  Perhaps this is also the reason why people pray for male offspring. #Hathras How do we save our girls?
